curious if any other shaw users using the cisco DPC3825 can simulate bufferbloat as easy as me, this problem happens when having my modem in bridge mode and having my laptop directly connected to it, that is how i ran tests today to verify the issue was either coming from my modem or cmts, what i have been doing to simulate this, is going to speedtest (make sure u know or find a server that can support about 90% of your speeds, i have 5mbps up and most speed tests hit alteast 4.5 up usually 4.8 for me, and simply by pinging google over and over again while running the speedtest, i watch my ping go from like 12-16ms to 30-50ms when my dl hits like 95/100 and then when my upload goes i get ping spikes all the way upto 200ms, usually between 110-200ms, at first i thought my d link router was causing this but i replaced it with a asus and the same thing happens, try directly to the modem same thing happens, i should also note people might not be able to simulate this problem on slower plans that arent able to bloat the buffers as easily, it might be only for people with 5mbps or more, or maybe its affecting 3mbps users aswell, or even lower, all i know is its affecting me and i have narrowed the problem down to shaw
