I have been watching a fair amount of TV lately and I guess I have gotten used to the slightly stretched out look of every person on TV.
the other day i turned on my Parents older TV ( they are also on shaw cable) and noticed that everyone looked normal meaning they didn't have the stretched wider look.
is most of shaw have sd because I watched the same program on my samsung p2770HD tv and everyone looked fatter ,
is there some setting on the cable box that can fix this because after seeing what the programs are supposed to look like I really notice it .
I do understand why shaw and other cable companies went digital it is because they can scramble the signals to non subscribers but man I am thinking that in general digital actually sucks , sure lots more colours but that stretched wider look is really starting to bug me and I really would like to fix that.
At first I had thought that is was my LCD TV but I have noticed it on every other wide screen TV I have come across.
