[AB] Making the move?

Eh guys... long time shaw customer- multiple accounts etc... overall reasonably satisfied with the services of the folks I've had to deal with but recently just had enough with the network saturation in my area. I run the 250/15 plan (I held onto it though I know it's not available anymore) because I needed the upload capacity. I reached the end of my patience when I did a speed test on a Friday night and got 12/12 performance. Nobody told me at the time that network saturation was the cause (since it's not in their script I was later told)- tech said the area is saturated between about 4 and midnight at a pretty consistent rate. The saturation issue, and the fact that the people on the phone have IMMEDIATE access to that information yet no "cue" to look at it as a problem put me through the roof. I was told I need to actually ask the person on the phone to look into it for me- kind of like going to the doctor and asking him to check if a certain medication is right for me. Really? They say "it's being worked on" (getting the saturation check into their script) but whatever that means- what isn't getting worked on nearly quickly enough for me is the fact that I'm experiencing saturation in the first place. As a guy who would have been frustrated a long time ago if I'd known the severity / consistency of the issue before- I highly recommend that if you are experiencing significant / noticeable reductions in your network performance (make sure you're fair and check it from the modem... not just from your router over some G wireless router)- you owe it to yourself to make that call and get them to check the rates of saturation. That will give you a fair chance to evaluate where you stand and start looking for better alternatives. They're out there- and they're definitely worth taking a serious look into.
