Just a little over 3 weeks to go before Shaw and the other cable companies are required to introduce so-called "skinny" cable packages that sell for under $25/month. They also must offer either smaller bundles and/or the option to buy channels individually. It's probably not surprising but there has been almost total silence from all providers as to what they'll be offering and for how much.

I wouldn't be surprised if consumers don't see any promotion whatsoever until March 1 and even then it will only be information available on their website and nowhere else.
We don't watch much cable TV here but there are a few stations we like to watch and of course they span packages: CBC Newsworld, CTV News Channel, TSN, and TCM. I'm hoping the CRTC's rules mean I can get those channels at a reasonable price which would make giving up even my grandfathered Personal TV + BB100.
