[BC] Anyone noticed unusual behavior with their internet lately?

I used to regularly monitor my internet speeds, typically on a weekly or monthly basis. My most recent speed check was conducted in June 2023, right after the Shaw/Rogers takeover. Lately, I've observed a significant drop in my upload speeds. Normally, my upload speeds, which are connected via RJ45 (Ethernet), consistently exceeded the advertised rates. For example, I have a 300 Mbps download and 100 Mbps upload plan. Under usual circumstances, my speeds were consistently above 300 Mbps for downloads, typically around 330 Mbps, and around 109 Mbps for uploads. A couple of years ago, the standard was a 300 Mbps download and 15 Mbps upload plan, but I consistently received approximately 330 Mbps for downloads and about 16 Mbps for uploads. However, in my recent tests using Ookla speed tests on two different web browsers, my speeds dropped to around 172-187 Mbps. If I recall correctly, in the past, running simultaneous speed tests side by side did not result in significant speed drops. Furthermore, my upload speeds have decreased by approximately 30-50% compared to my usual speeds. I suspect this may be due to upload node saturation or external interference affecting the speeds. However, attempting to get Shaw tech support to investigate the issue and analyze the node has been an incredibly frustrating experience. For what it's worth, my Shaw plan is set to expire next month, and I'm considering switching to Telus (with no contract). I haven't had the chance to look into upfront costs such as activation fees and modem rental. I've heard that Shaw has a "win-back" team, but given my recent experiences, it appears they are not leaving messages and may only attempt to contact me once or twice before giving up. In any case, I'm hoping that some of the knowledgeable individuals here can provide some insights. Btw, I already eliminated a hardware issue on my end. The troubleshooting steps I went through was very extensive and there's no point in mentioning them as I have experienced node issues many times before and I'm very confident this the issue (or a data abuse in our area). Thank you for taking the time to read this.
