Is a 1TB data cap reasonable?

I upgraded from Shaw's internet 30 plan with a 300GB data cap to the new wide-open 150 plan with a 1TB cap. Shaw had been rather lenient with my overages as it took about 6 to 8 months of complete modem flogging and disregard for the cap before I received a call from their bandwidth team. So now I have 5x the speed but only ~3x the data cap. Well, surprise surprise; I'm only two weeks into my billing cycle and have about 1.2TB of traffic. I noticed that out east, Rogers has removed their data cap for their plans 100mbps and above. Does anyone else find that the 1TB data cap doesn't quite seem to line up with the speed being offered? Has anyone else gone a little trigger-happy with their new hitron modems?
